Advance online appointment is required for all routine passport application services.  Please make an appointment online using the Online Appointment System. Due to unreliable postal service in the country, the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent does not process passport applications by mail and requires applicants to appear in person to apply for a passport renewal.  Please see the below categories for more information on applying for U.S. passports.

Note on Passport Photographs

U.S. passport photographs are different from Uzbek passport photos and many photographers in Uzbekistan are not familiar with U.S. passport photo specifications. We strongly recommend that you learn the photo requirements for U.S. passports before you go the photographer. 

Adding Visa Pages

The Department of State discontinued the consular service of adding additional visa pages to U.S. passports.
