The Republic of Uzbekistan supports the agreement reached in Lausanne on April 2, 2015, on key parameters of a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the “Group of Six” of international mediators on Iran’s nuclear program.
As the initiator of the conclusion of the Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia, which has become an integral part of the global system of disarmament, Uzbekistan firmly supports the complete elimination of weapons of mass destruction, support international efforts aimed at ensuring the full non-proliferation regime, as defined by the UN Charter and the framework of NPT.
Uzbekistan expects that the framework agreement will create a solid basis for reaching a comprehensive agreement that could make a major contribution to international peace and security.
