Message from the U.S. Ambassador Pamela Spratlen on Uzbekistan’s Independence Day

On behalf of the American people and my colleagues at the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, I would like to offer heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of your independence.

The United States was one of the first countries to recognize Uzbekistan’s independence on December 25, 1991, and our commitment to Uzbekistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence stands.  Together we have built longstanding bilateral ties which are strong and enduring.  The United States will continue to promote the strengthening of mutually-beneficial relations, to maintain a constructive dialogue in all spheres, and to work with Uzbekistan towards a secure, democratic, and prosperous future.

Please allow me to wish all the people of Uzbekistan peace, success, and prosperity.

Mustaqillik  bayramingiz muborak bo’lsin!
