The U.S. embassy in Tashkent is pleased to announce the launch of the “Learn English with Alumni” project. U.S. Exchange Alumni will conduct two different English language courses three times a week, each class lasting an hour and a half. The first program, “Language in Use,” will cater to people of any age learning English. The second program, “TOEFL Preparation Course,” will be taught for English learners above the intermediate proficiency level. The TOEFL preparation course also aims to help students applying to U.S. universities and colleges.
These study programs develop your practical communication skills with special emphasis on conversation, pronunciation and listening. In addition to practicing and enhancing your English language skills, you can also learn about American culture in order to gain a better understanding of life in the United States. If you would like to enroll in one of these English courses, please register for the placement test. During the placement test you will be given 50 multiple choice questions. Only those who answer more than 35 questions correctly will be selected for the respective courses.
There’s no age limit! Anyone interested in learning English can sign up. For more details and on how to register for the placement tests (December 17-18), please follow the instructions in the poster. The courses will begin in January 2016.
