Are you a graduate or undergraduate student at a higher educational institution in Uzbekistan? Would you like to know what it is like to act as a United Nations Ambassador and participate in a simulated UN session? If so, do not miss your chance to participate in the Everest International Model UN (EIMUN) Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal on July 15-19, 2019.
The five-day event will bring together over 200 young leaders from the Indo-Pacific region and South and Central Asia to debate key regional issues such as countering violent extremism, women’s empowerment, and regional economic integration. It will also serve as a cultural exchange program. Follow this link to learn more about the EIMUN conference.
The U.S. Embassy will cover travel expenses, accommodation, and meals for three outstanding students from Uzbekistan. To apply, please do the following:
- apply for participation in the EIMUN Conference at this link;
- complete a travel grant application form (downloadable here – PDF 97 KB), and send it along with a copy of your passport, CV and MUN certificate (if available) to Tashkent-Alumni@state.gov no later than 18:00 on March 10, 2019.
Those willing to cover their own travel expenses must apply on the EIMUN website independently no later than March 15, 2019.
