Are you a graduate or undergraduate student at a higher educational institution in Uzbekistan? Would you like to know what it is like to act as a United Nations Ambassador and participate in a simulated UN session? If so, do not miss your chance to participate in the Everest International Model UN (EIMUN) Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal on July 15-19, 2019.
The five-day event will bring together over 200 young leaders from the Indo-Pacific region and South and Central Asia to debate key regional issues such as countering violent extremism, women’s empowerment, and regional economic integration. Funding Opportunity:
The U.S. Embassy will cover travel expenses, accommodation, and meals for three outstanding students from Uzbekistan. To apply, please do the following:
- apply for participation in the EIMUN Conference at this link;
- complete a travel grant application form (downloadable here – PDF 97 KB), and send it along with a copy of your passport, CV and MUN certificate (if available) to Tashkent-Alumni@state.gov no later than 18:00 on March 10, 2019.
Those willing to cover their own travel expenses must apply on the EIMUN website independently no later than March 15, 2019.
