English is Key to Dialogue

On February 3-4, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosts an international conference, English is Key to Dialogue, for ELT specialists in higher education. Organized by “Foreign Languages in Uzbekistan” web portal and scientific and methodological e-journal and National Research Center for Innovations in Teaching Foreign Languages, the conference is a fruit of cooperation with U.S. Embassy in Tashkent.

A total of 250 participants, including representatives of the Uzbek Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, American fellows from Central Asian republics, teachers training centers and retraining institutes, teachers of English working in higher educational institutions in all regions of Uzbekistan, as well as foreign specialists, participate in the conference.

The conference agenda includes plenary sessions, workshops, Book Raffle and other formats of professional engagement. Conference organizers selected 80 papers among submissions of ELT professionals to include to a Collection of Conference Materials that is distributed in CDs in the form of software application.
