Are you a graduate or undergraduate student at a higher educational institution in Uzbekistan? Would you like to know what it’s like to be a UN delegate and participate in a simulated UN session? If yes, don’t miss your chance to participate in the fifth Everest International Model UN (EIMUN) Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal on May 7-11, 2018.
The five-day event will bring together over 200 university students from across South and Central Asia to debate key regional issues such as countering violent extremism, women’s empowerment, and regional economic integration, among others. Follow this link to learn more about the EIMUN Conference.
Funding Opportunity:
PAS Tashkent/Kathmandu has funding to cover travel expenses, accommodation and meals for three outstanding students from Uzbekistan. To apply for a travel grant, please do the following:
- apply for participation in EIMUN Conference at this link;
- complete the travel grant application form (downloadable below), sign, scan and send it along with a copy of your passport, proof of university enrollment, and MUN certificate (if available) to Tashkent-Program@state.gov no later than 18:00 on March 1, 2018:
Those willing to cover their own travel expenses must apply on the EIMUN website independently no later than March 5, 2018.
