DEA and NCDC Sign Memorandum of Understanding

On July 9, 2015 representatives of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Tashkent Office and members of the National Information Analytical Center for Drug Control under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan (NCDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the DEA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.  The Uzbek delegation was represented by NCDC Director, Mr. Mansurov.  Mr. Soiles represented DEA.

The MOU exhibits the strong relationship between the U.S. Government and the Government of Uzbekistan by combining the efforts of DEA and NCDC to work together to make citizens safe from drugs.  The MOU allows the agencies to share ideas and best practices of successful efforts to prevent drug abuse in the community.  Mr. Mansurov also met with Mr. Boticelli, the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).  The two sides discussed U.S. efforts to prevent youth exposure to drugs.
